I grew up in a small suburban town in Massachusetts called Longmeadow. When I was 18 I ventured to Austin, TX to study architecture at UT. I am now 22 and about to embark on my fifth and final year of architecture school.
I always knew I wanted to do something creative with my life. Ever since I can remember I've been drawing and making things. When I applied for architecture school I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but it seemed like it would fulfill my interest in combining art and function. That it did! Maybe soon I will become a practicing architect, maybe I will do something completely different! I find being in my 20's to be both confusing and exciting at the exact same time.
I currently live alone in a tiny studio apartment here in Austin. When I first moved in and the room was bare, the small size was daunting. But as I began to fill the room with furniture and possessions, it began to feel larger! I hope to share with you the joys of filling this space with nothing but useful things I love. At my age we may not have our dream apartments, but I am passionate about making spaces feel like home with small affordable touches.
I don't know where exactly to pinpoint my interest in healthy foods and wellness, perhaps it stems from my Celiac diagnosis back in 2012. Since then I have grown increasingly more interested in cooking for myself and keeping up with health trends. It can be a major shift to move away from home and not have someone cooking for you anymore. I am no expert chef, that's exactly why I am here to share easy and healthy recipes anyone can make! I will also share my favorite ways to stay healthy from mindfulness tips to exercise ideas.
I named this blog Contént Cóntent because content is my favorite emotion. To me, content is a form of happiness, a form that feels very present and appreciative. If you like being happy and healthy like I do, lets be content together!
